Clare Shannon

Clare qualified as a Level 2 British Triathlon coach in 2017.   A keen runner from very young age, Clare represented her secondary school for 5 consecutive years at cross country and her team were unbeaten in the inter schools cross country league. After a few years working with a couple of Olympic 3 day event riders she went back to her love of running and in 2003 began competing in marathons. She has successfully completed 7 stand alone marathons and the Keswick 2 Barrow 40 mile ultra, securing the course record for her team.   Clare has worked in the sporting events industry since 2010 and in 2013 she took up triathlon with the sole aim of completing IMUK 2014 which she successfully achieved.  

In Clare’s words;

“I am now looking to move to Sprint and Olympic distance events and have set myself some big goals for the year ahead.”
